Posidonia is where shipyards, ship owners, class societies and energy efficiency technology (EET) providers like Armada come together to shape shipping’s decarbonisation trajectory.
Today, we are proud to share that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Daehan Shipbuilding and Lloyd’s Register Asia to develop and integrate Armada’s Passive Air Lubrication System on a Suezmax tanker design. The concept will seek Approval in Principal for development under Lloyd’s Register rules and International Maritime Organization regulations.
“At Armada our goal has always been to ensure each air lubrication system we build meets the requirements of the specific vessel and route it will be operating on. This partnership with Daehan Shipbuilding and Lloyd’s Register Asia is an opportunity for us to exchange expertise and insights, and ensure that our system, EEDI calculations and electric load analysis are all fit for purpose onboard the new tanker vessel,” said Alex Routledge, CEO, Armada Technologies.
We are also grateful to our partners MAGNA MARE - Consulting & Trading and ERMA TECH GROUP, who introduced and brokered this collaboration and were instrumental in bringing the parties together.
